Unusually this is something I’ve made twice.

The first was commissioned by the lovely Katie of FlyGirlFilms who wanted a something for her wedding and reception and what better thing for a director and camera lady than a really big camera that could be used as a photobooth.

Katie and Rikki's name replaced the Land Camera text using the same font style so as to visually reference the original iconic design, the year of the wedding 2019 replaced the 1000 detail on the fascia and the date of the wedding was included as though hand written on the partially ejected photo that was used to frame the wedding guests at the reception. The photo counter on the back was set at 2, referencing the age of their son at the time.

The second one was perhaps one of the oddest commissions I’ve had, a prop commissioned by a Californian ticktock tictoc tiktok’er to pick up on their way through the UK. It was carried onto a ferry from North Shields as hand baggage, then on to the Polaroid headquarters in Amsterdam as part of them pitching a project for funding.
