Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art

Event Decor | Public Engagement

Commissioned by the Baltic as part of their Refugee Week programme as a means to display paper birds being made by visitors at workshops.

Newcastle is home to the world's most inland colony of breeding Kittiwakes, nesting famously on the towers of the Tyne Bridge but also to be seen on the upper ledges of the Baltic. A reproduction of this architectural detailing and the iconic signage which can be seen from much of city seemed an appropriate fit.

Designed to sit on a surface as photographed here or to be wall mounted. Robustly made to allow for reuse.

You can find examples of workshops developed and delivered at the Baltic here.
