N Lab is a pioneering project designed to champion and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration. Bringing together 7 artists from different disciplines to make new work, develop themselves as creative practitioners and push boundaries. Work presented in September 2014 at NEXUS: a full weekend event facilitated by WYTN.
The suspended hoop was 3 metres in diameter, fabricated off site in 4 segments and made with only cardboard and a glue gun.
Throughout the weekend of the festival the space beneath the circle was used for various performances. The illusion of lowering the height of such a vast space lent an air of intimacy to the performance space below it, particularly in evenings when the shops on the other levels were closed making the building seem all the bigger.
